A little Political? Funny Remix I did whilst being sick,

After they told me on social media that the Mexican President had publicly apologized for the White House scandal (not the American, but another one) a friend reminded me it was just like he was singing and perfectly matching the lyrics of “Is it too late to say Sorry” by Justin Bieber to which I decided to use the Latino version they released (ft. J Balvin) and make use of juxtaposition of words of the song and image to deliver a different message decoded in different ways depending on the audience and the knowledge they have of the situation.

The video could have been improved to match and create more juxtaposition in the beginning with specific words they describe like the past and present of a relationship and end regarding as to who specifically is the “she” or person they are addressing to say sorry and/or who they wan’t to be close with, but since I did this in the spare of the moment and mainly for fun while recovering from sickness I hope it’s not too bad and a quick exercise that will allow me to further develop my technique and understanding of Remix in all its different forms.

FYI Until time of download video has only being restricted in 1 country, Germany because of music match but it has being also restricted to no views allowed on mobile phones while moneytization (is that a words?) is possible with ads

A little Political? Funny Remix I did whilst being sick,

Living in an old church means many things. Today it means my house is a Pokémon Go gym. This should be fascinating.

For the record, I’ve counted 15 people stopping by and lingering in their phones so far. I think at least three car visits as well.

When a car with two or more kids in the backseat on their phones parks for 20 minutes I’m counting it as a gym visit.

I just realized all the people walking or driving up, lingering, then moving on could easily make this place look like a dealer’s house.

Webpage to modify images metadata – EXIF for 360 pictures (Facebook style)

Exif – Exchangeable Image File Format

Metadata – Make: RICOH Model: RICOH THETAS

Image aspect ratio should be 2:1 avoid photoshoping close to corners

Largest upload – 6000×3000 pixels (18 Mega pixels)

Otherwise look for a EXIF app or do comand as follow:

Using exiftool (Technical)

The most powerful and flexible Exif editor, especially for batch processing of images, is the command-line tool, exiftool.

If you are interested in using exiftool to manually tag 360 photos, install it on your machine. Then, simply use the following terminal command to insert the appropriate metadata:

  • exiftool -Make=“camera_make” -Model=“camera_model” photo.jpg
  • # replace ‘camera_make’ and ‘camera_model’ with the appropriate values
  • # ‘photo.jpg’ is the photo you want to tag

For example, if you’re on a Mac and you want to inject metadata for a Ricoh Theta S into a file called “bestphoto.jpg” on your Desktop, you would use the following command:

  • exiftool -Make=“RICOH” -Model=“RICOH THETA S” ~/Desktop/bestphoto.jpg

To remove all Exif from a given file called “photo.jpg” (remember to re-inject camera Make and Model before you upload):

  • exiftool -all= photo.jpg

To copy all Exif from one file (“source.jpg”) to another (“dest.jpg”):

  • exiftool -TagsFromFile source.jpg “-all:all>all:all” dest.jpg

About the workshop

Crudely speaking, data sensing is about sensor based relationships with the world. Sensors measure and register air pollution, humidity, water temperature, sound, light, movement and other phenomena occurring in the environment. They allow us the kind of connection with the world which when translated into data informs our understanding of environments we live in or remote places which we want to explore and exploit. Pump It Up + Arduino

So, I’m gonna attempt to create the Arduino + Pump it Up (or similar) to first see if I can manage to make it work and then to see if I can incorporate my own songs, rythms or change in the menu of selection to select based on other elements that would lead you to the song. Ex. Remixes on specific topics (Politicians signing) or Cultural Appropriation of something and then a song that shows/depicts that appropriation (Mexican/Kpop)

But since it’s quite late and the idea just came to mind I will leave here some quick research to get started and then start a fresh tomorrow morning in the hope of getting back to work on Remix

Mike Schultz, a 21-year-old communications graduate on Long Island, New York, took a spill on his skateboard as he stared at his phone while cruising for critters early Thursday. He cut his hand on the sidewalk after hitting a big crack, and blames himself for going too slowly.

“I just wanted to be able to stop quickly if there were any Pokemons nearby to catch,” he says. “I don’t think the company is really at fault.”
